walk in freezer
Hi guys, can anyone help i have a walk in freezer, Compressor is Lun'te R404A, CAJ2464Z Low side 40psi, high side 450psi, keeps going out on high pressure switch, only -8c to -10c.
if any one can help me i will be very gratfull thanks

Hi ,
For what you say i think that the system has to much refrigerant ,working with R404a and being a Freezer the suction should be around -28 to achive a room temperature of -20.
Try to recover some refrigerant or compressor is to small in capacity.

someone top it up about 1month ago, also some fitted new compressor about 10 months ago maybe its to small, i will recover the refrigerant and re-charge the system, Thanks Jeds...

I fitted the same comp on a freezer room this morning, I find that condensers always seem too small on R404a equipment in my opinion, is it a package like a Williams or a Foster or is it a traditional evaporator with a remote unit. If it was me I would first off blow the condenser out with my air compressor even if it does look clean, if this does not help resize the room and make sure the equipment is the correct size, if it is I would then reclaim all the gas, vac it out and recharge it the reason been someone could of "topped it up" and as it is a blend the make up is critical, it seems even more critical on low temperature applications from my experience.

thanks for you're help guys, the system is a package job Lun'te the condenser unit is out side the type with a dog kennel over it, the freezer is about 3mtr x 1 1/2mtr approx, pipe run about 10mtrs i would say

ur compressor is ok if the product entering the room is frozen but if its fresh it became too small
if the product entering is frozen u must check ur metering device small orifice dirty condenser etc

Is the condenser selected for pull down condition ?
