Hitachi RAS20 problem
Hello chaps
Does anyone know under what condition the fixed speed condensor fan is supposed to be enabled?
Thanks very much.

Re: Hitachi RAS20 problem
The outdoor unit has target discharge pressure of 23 to 27 bar in cooling mode & uses both fixed & inverter fan to maintain the target pressure.
The fan motors have built in over heat thermostat.
So if the fixed speed fan not running
suggest look at operation of the internal stat or the high pressure sensor.
If the high pressure sensor is providing incorrect data for very low discharge pressure then the fan could be off.
So compare the high pressure data on the 7 segment display with your hp gauge reading.

Re: Hitachi RAS20 problem
cheers for your response TTech
I worked it out eventually. From what I can gather it uses a step method (0-16) where the variable speed fan controls by itself from 0-11. The step is controlled by target pressure.
Thanks againQuidvis Recte Factum Quamvis Humile Praeclarum.
