Daikin Leak
Found a leak on Friday on A Daikin 3 pipe outdoor. Model number of the unit is a REYQ8m7w1B. What is the procedure to make sure all the valves are open when reclaiming the remainder of the gas so I get all the gas out?

Re: Daikin Leak
i think you can do a master reset which will drive all the valves open, i know it works on all bs box and fan coils but not sure about condensing unit, i cant remember exactly how but its done via the push switch buttons on o/d main pcb

Re: Daikin Leak
You need to set mode 2 setting 21 on the outdoor PCB, this will open SV's and expansion valves to allow correct vac, pressure test etc. Dont suppose the leak was at a small capillary line just off the oil seperator?

Re: Daikin Leak
Thanks for the info. I was not aware of the setting but I managed to reclaim all of the gas. It was a fluke finding the leak the lad that I was with spotted a small trace of oil on a pipe sprayed some bubbles on it and there she was.The leak was on a small 3/8 pipe on the liquid side.
