How to calculate atmospheric dewpoint of compressed air?
Ambient air at 35 degree C is compressed to 3.5 bar(g). It is cooled to 12 Deg C by passing throug a heat exchanger using chilled water at 8 degree C. How to calculate the atmosphric dewpoint of this compressed air at outlet of heat exchanger?

Re: How to calculate atmospheric dewpoint of compressed air?
I am going to ASSUME ALL CONDENSER WATER AVAILABLE. and Use this

air out 100% HR
and this to calculate load of air.

Re: How to calculate atmospheric dewpoint of compressed air?
I think you will need the Ph chart for compressed air where you can get all air properties like , pressure, enterpy, entropy, DbT,WbT, and dew points

Re: How to calculate atmospheric dewpoint of compressed air?
for starters, you will need to know the mositure content of the 35C air that is getting drawn into the compressor
odds are if you are anywhere humid, at 12C the air will be saturatedTake the V out of HVAC and you are left with a HAC job

Re: How to calculate atmospheric dewpoint of compressed air?
Dear members i am a new user, can you help me out in using refrigerants, that is which gas can be used in place of the other, like R134a gas can be used in R404a if i am not mistaken?

Re: How to calculate atmospheric dewpoint of compressed air?
the dewpoint will be close to 8 degrees as this is your water temp , however when changing the pressure it will be lowered.
obviously when pressure is 2 bars the water content is same but the RH will be twice of outside.
When pressure is higher some water will condense and in your cooler a lot of water will condense, when after cooler you use a pressure controller it will be good.
i use starting air of 25 bar for instrument air.computer shooter
