How fast should condenser fan rotate?
Hi guys, quick question.
On LG multisplit in cooling mode, how fast should the fan be rotating? It seems to rotate about 2 times a second, maybe faster when comp running faster.
Air off temps seem ok in cooling, perhaps too cold, system dont seem to ramp down low enough.
On heating it goes very fast, very high air off temps. System again doesnt ramp down low enough so ends up cycling off.
Perhaps thinking that fan speed ambient air sensor is faulty.
many thanks
Rich

Re: How fast should condenser fan rotate?
You are asking for information that is not normally known by site staff.
The electric motor may well have a fixed maximum speed due to it's construction but if there is a VFD on the PCB then the speed can/will vary throughout the machine operation.Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

Re: How fast should condenser fan rotate?
Hi Brian
I was wondering though you see because if the ambient air sensor was giving wrong readings, it thinking that it was cooler than it is then the fan may be running slower than it should be and vice versa in heating, therefore the system then collecting too much heat etc due to high fan rotation.
