Question YORK Condensing Unit What kW capacity?

    Hi all,

    York Model H2CE120A5OB

We have been asked to quote for a replacement condensing unit for an Air Handling Unit bringing fresh air into a hospital theatre.
The current ducting draws in fresh air and either heats it through electric heaters or cool using an evaporator.

The current twin compressor condensing unit on R22 has failed. The problem is does anyone know it duty? Johnson Controls who now own York don't know!

I can't quote unless I know some tech details on this unit.

    Please help!!!

Does the compressor show the swept volume on the nameplate? This would help to estimate the cooling capacity, volumetric efficiency is approximately 0.7.

I didn't check that as I hoped the make and model would have been sufficient.
Unfortunately the job is about 50 miles away and I'd rather not have to return.

Or, what is the duty of the air handling unit ?

edit: Found this, it's close but not quite the same.

There aren't any details on the ducting and the evap is just a large finned coil about 26" x 48" x 6"
Does the 120 in the model number mean 120kW?

I think that means 120,000 btu's based on the model number and that coil size. But that is only guess really i am bored stupid at the office. this site is the only thing thta kept me from killing myself today ;-)
