    carrier phoenix advantage specs

I have a phoenix advantage reefer on a partially insulated van body. I am trying to determine if the unit is working properly and I lack further insulation, or if the insulation is sufficient and the unit is bad. everything works fine on the keypad ect. and it starts and runs fine. I have trouble getting my loads to 50 deg Fahrenheit and holding them there. we transport live plants so we don't want to get too cold. I would like the pressure specs so I can check the hi and low. Carrier has not been able to get me the specs in a format my computer can open.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check the difference of return air temp to discharge air temp of the evaporator, if the difference is more then 5 degrees or so i would look into insulation problems, is this a dry box that you converted with insulation?

Yes, as a matter of fact it is. Good observation. I had a tech look at it on my last delivery and he deduced that a valve or piston was bad. one cylinder head was really hot and it keeps shutting off showing high discharge as the problem. I'm going to pull the head next week and see.

More than likely a blown head gasket. Possibly a broken discharge reed.
