    Fieldpiece Leak Detector

hey guys, i need to get a new electronic leak detector and when i was picking up some gear today i noticed they had a new fieldpiece leak detector.

the meter is expensive (not that good electronics arn't anyway) but given the price i was quoted i was wondering if anyone here has one of these meters or has used one.

    here is link: http://www.fieldpiece.com.au/Product...frigerant.html

If so what do you think of it?

the only advise I can give you is i bought a tif and a cps leak detector on the same day about 4 years ago and the tif was for me and the cps for someone else , the tif is ok and has been reliable but they werent even comparable for performance , the cps was really really good on all refrigerants , if i had my choice again id spend the extra $50 and get the cps

Thanks, I ended up buying the fieldpiece infrared detector, i've had it for about a week now. Charged it up as soon as i got it because i wanted it to be on the ready should the right job come along... and i'm still waiting maybe i should of left the batteries flat, then i'm sure i could of used it heaps of times by now lol.

will report how it goes, when i get the chance to use it

Have used the leak detector several times now and have been very happy with it's performance so far.
