Location of Suction Filter
Dear all,
Where do you think is the better location to place suction filter? I have seen some system placing suction filters before suction header, where as some others placed it after suction head, before compressor suction intake.
How about for the system with suction accumulator? Will the placement of suction filter before suction accumulator cause oil return problem when the filter is clogged during the operation?

Re: Location of Suction Filter
Just before the suction accumulator.
After a month work, take the filter element out.
Look back in the Forum, there was a long discussion about suction line filters.

Re: Location of Suction Filter
I can almost expect the filter core to be dirty, especially for a new system. When the filter core is clogged, the flow velocity in the suction accumulator could be reduced. Will it cause any oil return problem?
