    Problems with my York

I have a 3 1/2 ton outdoor York unit, about 18 years old. It has worked flawlessly for these 18 years. Yesterday it started blowing hot air. When I checked the unit I found the fan wasn't running, but the compressor was. I pushed the fan and it started up, which told me a bad start capacitor. I replaced it and everything came on and seem to run normally until the middle of the night when I had to manually get the fan going again. I also had to start it again this morning, but the compressor wouldn't come on. Any suggestions or diagrams that would help? It's hot here!

Fan motor's bearings are worn out, maybe motor is now dead, compressor too, I am afrtaid .... Buy yourself a cheap multimeter and take windings measurements.
