Am I correct in assuming the L'Unite hermetique CAJ9480Z is already charged with oil?

Think for a second, have you ever seen an hermetic compressor, new, without oil??

Of course it is charged with oil, and the oil type must be written on the name plate. or printed on top of the compressor.

Yours is for use with R-404A and charged with POE.

Actually yes,Danfoss made a range a while back what dont come charged with oil.

What do you do with an oil less compressor?

Do you get filling instructions and a sealed plastic bag with oil?

I presume it must be only for mineral oil.

Never saw them.

It was a danfoss compressor fitted on a refrigerant reclaim unit,did not come pre-charged with mineral oil
It was only realised when the compressor was changed,ran and tripped on the internal overload .
On the positive side the compressor ran and continued running once charged with oil .
