Kotza: typing error in manual ????????

Hi all, who am I to disagree with the authors of the Kotza refrepair manual. Whilst perusing this great book I stumbled across something on page 29 that seemed to throw a curve ball at me, and I quote:
"If the superheat is too large, the expansion valve will be closed and will allow very little liquid to pass through. As the evaporator contains very little liquid, the refrigerating capacity is small and the change in temp for the air is rather small"
    and further on:
"If the superheat is too small the expansion valve opens too much and allows too much liquid to pass through."
Is it me that has got his lines crossed or what??

It's talking about the past tense rather than what it should do.
"If the superheat is too small the expansion valve opens too much and allows too much liquid to pass through."
It says opens, not "it will open".
It's telling you how it got it that state.

    It's poorly written really.

I have the French manual and there's a little difference (translated to English):
If the SH is too high, then the expansion valve is too much closed and it let pass not enough liquid.
The evaporator contains to less refrigerant resulting in a too small capacity
If the SH is too small, the EV is to wide open and let pass too much liquid.
    This sounds better?
Poor translation (also mine I suppose) .

It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
