    Question single phase 208v

good memorial day weekend to all,
    question:
on a single phase 208 volt a/c compressor (Tecumseh)
i am not finding any relay to drop out the start winding
as is the case with a typical 115v slit phase compressor.
It is a CSR motor with one cap.Is a centrif.switch living
    inside the hermetic???
I have experience with split phase and three phase
but need some help with the above. thanks!
    Best Regards

    Re: single phase 208v

    Wikipedia:
A variation of the centrifugal switch used a changeover contact to ensure that the auxiliary windings remain in the circuit through a running capacitor. These motors are called two-value or capacitor start capacitor run motors.

    Re: single phase 208v

Your motor is evidently capacitor start and run. One and the same cap ensures both the start and the run phase shift.
