    calc



    I need to find formula for : This problem
    I have a room that is 40' X 30' X 15'
    I have 3500 pounds of beef I need to get
    from 33deg. to 0 deg. in 12 hours

    You need to supply more information.
    Type and value of insulation, design ambient temperature, loading period, entering product load temperature, number of occupants, lighting, possible infiltration (this can be approximated)
    Then you can start your calculations, there are many short form methods, you don't need a computer its been done with a paper and pencil for years.

    Good Guy 100,

    Check Heatcraft website.Then look for their engineering manual and do the refrigeration load calculation.All is there and do it manually ,i mean long hand computation.Have a competent designer to check your work.A good start for a beginner.

    It takes years and lot of field experience to become to become a competent refrigeration designer.

    Dear your question is not clear...... but it's clear you need blast Freezer.....there is so many other information required to calcualte the required capacity.

    Max cooling demand at start 81kW
    Average cooling demand over 12 hours 25kW based on a room temperature of constant -5°C
