refrigeration circuit symbols
Hey all
Could anyone help me?
I am looking for a list of the BS circuit symbols for a refrigeration circuit i.e compressor,TEV's etc its for my C&G portfolio I,m trying to get it as professional looking as I possibly can. At the moment I'm using squares and circles to show components.
Thanks for any help.

Re: refrigeration circuit symbols
Hi Neil,
I don't think there is such a thing as a British Standard list of symbols, partly because most common units are not British.
Usually as long as there is an index accompaning it you just get used to the particular make.
For example:- a circle with "MC" written inside it.
I have seen these to mean (1) Motor/Compressor or (2) as in Daikens case motor CONTACTOR.
Sorry not to be much help but thats the way it is most of the time.
Regards
Raymond

Re: refrigeration circuit symbols
In Microsoft Visio Professional 2002 there are a lot of symbolics (valves and fittings, pipelines, equipment-pumps, heat exchangers, etc).
If you have not the MSVP, all that i can do - grab pictures in jpeg (bmp, tiff, gif) and send them by email (it may be delayed for some time)

Its American symbols soI 'm not sure about BS, but have a look and decide.

Thanks Chemi
I found that my copy of Auto CAD had some symbols as well.
