Absorption fridge - expected noises?
Hello,
I'm looking for some info on what are the typical noises that absorption (amonia/hydrogen) systems produce, and whether a low hissing/squealing from such a fridge with an electric heat source is normal.
I ask because I recently got an oldish electrical minibar fridge of indeterminate model, and after some time of being plugged in, a low hissing/whining sound, like a muffled boiling teapot, started coming from the absorber vessel. I haven't used this kind of fridge before, and I've read on the internet that it shouldn't produce any noise at all when using an electrical source.
The fridge does work, and the noise is still quieter than a compressor. Should I be concerned? Since it's likely been sitting unpowered for a long time, is there any procedure I should perform before using it, like turning it over to "burp" it?
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

.
Yes, some absorption fridges do make a slight noise as the fluid circulates. It's quite normal.
