-City and Guilds 2078 - Safe Handling of Refrigerants Assessment

The C&G 2078 will allow you to work for the next couple of years, but will be invalid after 3rd July 2011. After that date you will need C&G or CITB 2079.

That course seems like a good place to start, and you can at least gain experience and earn a few quid while preparing for the 2079.

Jaeck75, reading your sentence without taking one breath almost killed me
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Jaeck75, Thanks for the reply and info. Would you say it is not worth it then?

Do the qualifications carry much weight, and was it/ is it easy to get a job with the qualifications you gained?

    Were the exams hard?

    Thanks for the help !

    hello,
there are a lot of these courses around and I personally think that you would be better off saving your money. Try to find a company that will take you on as an apprentice / improver so you can learn from a competent engineer. then go to a reputable college (i.e. Grimsby or college of north west London) and study your nvq 2-3.

an employer would (should) look at this 15 day the fully qualified course and regard it similar to a 25m swimming certificate.

    Hope this helps
