    Re: chiller oil level not maintain

    Where is the oil going ??

    Is the machine running at full load ?

    Is the evaporator oil logged?

    Re: chiller oil level not maintain

    I am afraid it is too late to offer you some information for oil loss of YK chiller,
    several things for you to check;
    1. the suggested oil charge is 20Gal of York K oil.
    2. check the LOP and Evap pressure, if the LOP is higher than Evap pressure, then you have wear on B.P seal in the compressor, the oil accumulated in evaporator can't be educed back to compressor or oil sump.
    3. is the drier/filter blocked or the solenoid valve defective?
    4. check the return tube, if it is not dewed, it is the sign the oil return system has problem.
