temp controller prob
hi got a new custom who has a problem with a VDH alfa 75 temperature controller. showing E1 presuming probe fault. looked on internet only site related to VDH is JOONDALUP in australia. emailed but no reply does any one know dealer in uk to contact to get new probe

Check out the attached as I think despite being for a Alpha 53 the codes and suggested remedies are the same?

Had another look around and found this which is for the 75. Ther are other model which have the 75 suffix in their model number . So hopefully this is the correct one?

If it is the probe your best bet is to measure the resistance of thermister most are about 5k ohms or 10k ohms. You can buy one from your local electronics supplier. It will cost no more than A$5 when the controller company would charge sometimes over A$100. Then if it needs callibrating add a variable pot of 10% in series or parallel to suit.
