Chiller Efficiency
Hi Guys,
Please somebody help me on this, please help me to calculate the chiller efficieny based on ambient temp. for example the chiller is running at 75% with condenser water temp at 75oF Temp IN & 81.9oF Temp with a efficiency of 0.55 KW/Ton. If the chiller is running at 75% at 84oF Temp IN and 93oF Temp OUT what is the efficiency in KW/Ton?

Re: Chiller Efficiency
Assuming GPM is constant and runningat 75% at the higher condensing temp you have 0.55KW/ton at a 7 degree cond.temp . difference or 0.55/7 = ~8. So what if we say at a 9 degree difference(84oF Temp IN and 93oF Temp OUT) say 8 x 9*= ~ 7.1KW/ton Does that make sense for you or you could take phase kW= kV*amps*power factor*1.73
