    New Toy

Works gone quiet, no money in the bank, just the time to buy something that does 7mpg

    My new (old) truck...

I bought it for fun and to tow a 1930's Noahs Ark fairground ride that a friend has just got.

    Better start saving diesel tokens

Nice machine, I love the sound of diesel engine.

Remind me of my first "truck"

Mine was dark blue with a 8 cylinders huge engine [When gas was cheaper then water...]

    Re: New Toy

PP, when we had the Gardner engined genny running for the first time and powering the lights on the fair ride someone thought the barn had caught fire and phoned the fire brigade

When the first engine came over the hill they saw the smoke and red glow and called for backup....
Ended up with five fire engines and a bowser on its way

We have moved the genny outside now and after a bit of work and running time it only smokes when not loaded now, not bad for something made in 1937!

Chemi, thats a nice looking truck, i love the sound of a v8 engine or a inline 6.
Shame most vans here are 4 cylinder things.

How about this? Here`s one I worked on earlier, about 35 years earlier in fact....happy days when a job could be for life.
