Balance lines
Hi everyone, could someone please tell me what purpose a condenser/receiver balance line serves.

The reason being it was a test question with 4 choices.
A condenser/receiver balnce line is fitted to a refrigeration system when the condenser is: A) Below the compressor. B) Above the compressor. C)Warmer than the liquid receiver. D)Colder than the liquid receiver.

This type of question appears to have an answer the instructor is looking for based on some circumstances that may not be reasonable for all applications/installations.
