How to show the degrees sign

I've wondering how people on this forum manage to show the degrees C sign. So for everyone that doesn't know how to write it, Hold down "alt" then type 0176 in the numpad.
    °C

Or, Alt Gr and 5 (not on num pad) simultaneously and than C or F letter.

    p.s.
This could be the case only on local versions of keyboards like mine.

either ° ALT 0176 for those who like an extra digit

or ° ALT 248, just that little bit quicker

    Look at all my postings

I did not know how to do °C before

    but
    ' deg C ' is using 4 keys
Alt 0176 is also using 4 keys

so not really any short cut
    but
    does look better.

You could install this software and remap keyboard in such way that that is available with short key combination like Alt Gr + d for example.

Go to remap keyboard for details.
