Re: Samsung AQV12VBAN low heating capacity

Glad you have sorted the problem out, well done Nike 123 for the solution!

    Thanks for reporting back.

Did you manage to get the other outdoor unit fixed?

Re: Samsung AQV12VBAN low heating capacity

Yes ...but even after the replacement of the leaking condenser , the situation was the same (this unit was more affected by the ''curtain syndrome'') ...the technician was ''desperate'' and i was ready to start procedures for full replacement of the units with other type.

I read this thread over and over again and tried everthing you suggested so the solution was found

-In a non-vertical position of the air grille , i was suffering a hot air recycling issue since the units are in deed oversized for my rooms
-In a vertical position , the operation of units were affected by the curtains.

Re: Samsung AQV12VBAN low heating capacity

    Another issue now :

In the unit A , they changed the whole outside unit with a brand new one.

In the unit B , they replaced the whole board of the outside unit.

The performance is good now but i noticed the following:

Unit A set a TURBO heat , I measure the hot air temperature with eliwell meter placed right inside the outlet grille : 49.5 degrees C

Unit B set at TURBO heat , the measurement is 53 degrees C

Both measurements were taken within the same 30 minutes , with the same eliwell + probe and the eliwell probe was placed exactly at the same place in both units.

    Is this normal ?

As long as the performance is good and the units are heating fine then I wouldnt worry about it. 49C is very good air off temp.

Perhaps the room temp is warmer in Room B than it is in Room A.

Perhaps the outdoor unit is further away from the indoor unit on Unit B.
