Re: Johnson Controls.
have recently left the York chiller service side and all i can say is they will not be satisfied untill all the best engineers have been forced to leave - keep taking on all the johnsons fm sites junk and getting chiller engineers to work on ancient splits ahu's and any other old junk they can find, york chiller service has gone and soon so will be the engineers - you just can not buy a chiller company and expect engineers to work on junk !!!!!!

Re: Johnson Controls.
Hi Jacek
with the amount of cash they have to spend, world domination could be on the cards.
more realistically, have heard rumours but thats all they are at present, they own everything out right so they can weather the recesion quite easily, service has not really been hit, sales maybe down due to buyers clinging on to cash or can not borrow from banks but that will soon pick up again and as far as selling industrial sector (sabroe) i have heard nothing and not a good time to sell. promotions and wage rises were plentifull just prior xmas, i have daily work and its only january. i think they would have to suffer some very major losses to offload any of their sectors but i may be wrong. The way they are still picking up national contracts, future still looks good if you dont mind a wide range of kit, rather than specialising in one its ok. Just wish they would pay travel then i could retire at forty

Re: Johnson Controls.
Hello Guys,
I smell some unhappyness from the people in UK about JCI.
I'm originally SABROE and then YORK and now Johnson Controls.
I think that there is a differense between us because we have different servicedeparments. I'm in the Industrial ref. with mostly SABROE and FRICK and STAL compressors. We have 3 other service depts. 1 for marine applications, 1 for centrifs. and 1 for commercial. So here we don't have to work on a wide range of machinery.
So JCI is not all that bad.
and as for this topic, I don't think that Johnson Controls will sell the Refrigeration branche (at least not for 2 years) because we are still making profit but the automotive sector of JCI is loosing money. So for now they need us.
Greetz,
Bart

Re: Johnson Controls.
I am also don’t think that JCI is going to sell the Ind refrigeration department as they are doing very well in here in the ME and actually this department is a big fortune for JCI because of the brands they have YORK, SABROE, FRICK, BOCK, STAL
So they have to keep it and invest in at less because of the excellent reputation these brands have in all over the world.
