    whirlpool frigde/freezer



    i have a 4years old american stlye fridge/freezer the freezer has started to defrost today and i have noticesd that the fridge is no longer getting cold. ihave tried turning offor a couple of hours but it`s still not working any surgestions as to what to do

    so sorry i haven`t and i can`t get to the back as i had the kitchen built around it, if it helps it has the ice/water dispencer,silver and slightly curved doors. thanks tracey

    You need to open the fridge side and you should find label with reference numbers on somewhere at the bottum on a the left or right hand side.

    Anyway, is there any noise coming from the back of the fridge?

    i have just been in touch with whirlpool and have been told i still have parts warrenty just have to pay 85 quid for an engineer, however an hour ago i turned it back on after being off overnight and everything seems to be working perfectly.thanks a million for taking the time to reply tracey

    of course it will work if been turn off over night as it defrost it self when it starts working again in few days will have same problem

    Depends, if the machine had been over iced as a result of excess air getting in, a problem i found a lot with most frost free. (i was one of whirlpools regas men for 5 years)
