    Question Critical temperature

    hı guys,
I need to know what the critical temperature is for refrigerants. For example the critical temperature is 101 deg. for R-134A.If the gas temperature exceeds over 101 deg. (like 150 deg.) in the system, what will happen? does it lose physical and thermal properties?
ı am waiting for your help..

above this temp the gas can no longer condense into a liquid, only vapour is present above this temp. Refrigeration processes can exist sub critical (normal system) or transcritical, this means compressing a gas above its critical temp, rejecting heat through means of a gas cooler and then lowering the pressure so as to bring it below its critical temp and condense into a liquid. Transcritical is used especially on R744 (Co2) systems
