    Sanyo fault codes

    Hi all

Having trouble with a Sanyo ceiling cassette about 13 years of age with no model no reference as all stickers are gone and the fault code E1 keeps appearing after several hours of running.
Have checked all components whilst running and all are ok, as well as condensate drain pump which is working as required.

Any tips or info on where to get a list of fault codes.

    Dave

Any time you get an older unitlike this please contact Sanyo Commercial Solutions @1800-851-1235 or refer to www sanyobiomedical com At the bottom of the page choose your link to each division.

For the older hvac equipment please refer to ;www sanyohvac/com/previous_list.php

I wasnt allowed to post URL sites so pleased add the dots and the rest that are missing to these references.

    Hope this helps.

Look closer at the condensing unit. Hopefully you can read at least the last two digits. Typically these units are marked C1822 for a cooling only or CH1822 for a heat pump. The last two digits will give us the series of the system and I can get you the codes if I know the series.

    Hi IM Bak

Usually E1 on an old unit like this is a fan overheat or float switch activation. If you have checked float switch as stated its most likely the Fan. Which can explain why it operates for a few hours then drops out. maybe bearings on the way out. Sanyo still have some parts available for these systems.
