Need special setting on DAIKIN REY24KJY1
Hi.
Here's my system setup:
1 RXY8KJY1+2xRNY8KY1+1BR3KV1.
So that it's a 24 HP heat recovery system / R22.
The problem is that i need to fully open each indoor unit expansion valve (24 unit / 24 BS boxes).
On recent VRV II / III we have in MODE 2 the code 21 / setting 2.
I tried this on the old ones but in it doesn't work...
Any idea ?
Thanks in advance

I don't have the K series paperwork at home but here is the H Series Pump Down instructions - Mode 3 level.
Don't forget, when the system goes into pump down, (indoor valves open) you must kill the power to both indoor and outdoor units after, to prevent the valves from closing.

Re: Need special setting on DAIKIN REY24KJY1
Thanks Frank
The settings are not the the same on my system...
This VRV - called VRV PLUS - is quite different.(rarely installed in France).
You can set and monitor not by the outdoor unit main pcb but by the BR3KV1 box pcb.
The way of setting is near the new ones -VRV II or III-.
On H series there were less option.
Thanks a lot to pay attention to my problem

You have one of the old R22 VRV Plus systems (with the function units)
As far as I know there was no field setting to open all the EEVs on this system. There was a pump down procedure to in case you needed to work on one of the outdoor unit (pumping out the refrigerant from the outdoor unit into the field pipe work)
You could try to run all indoor units in cooling mode and press the test button for “Test operation” on all units then power down all indoor units at once (from the distribution board) this will keep the EEV’s open.
If you can’t get the outdoor running, maybe a compressor failure, you can disconnect all compressors cables. The systems will attempt to run without tripping on a fault with no compressor connected.
Hope it helps

Re: Need special setting on DAIKIN REY24KJY1
Hi Obi Wan, how are you.?
Many thanks.
In fact we found it's not so easy to do a vaccum between the gas pipe of the BS boxes and the indoor units...
Before the first commissioning the EEV are slightly open -if nobody put the power supply once-
In our case we've made a lot of work on the piping.
Maybe i'll decide to remove each EEV motor and check for leakage of the EEV bodies.( we found it on the site...).
Then we'll make a good vaccum and we'll do a re-calibration of each indoor unit's EEV.
