USe of water with Chlorine for cleaning coils

We find that in many places water with Chlorine is used for cleaning. Since there is no absolute control on the concentratiopn factor, the pitting on Al fins & even on SS tubes is seen - Blast freezer coils.

Is there any other coil configuration other than GI tried out?

I am also told that in UK they get a special cleaning agent from Levers. Is anyone aware on that?

Clorine causes some damage to the aluminum but it is no way near to cut the 1 or 2 mm's of it ..

    Use a deminerliser when possible.
