    R290 - used in freezer

    Hello,

What you know about the R 290 - Propane , used in freezers. I know that is verry good for high ambient temperature (tropicalized) but there are problems when the ambient temperaure is falling down. What happen if the freezer is used in 0-10 degree enviromental temperature?

    Hi viorelbuiuc

Firstly it will depend on what type and size of system you are talking about.

    Why Hydrocarbon refrigerant?

Regular system design will apply in respect of head pressure control for low ambient conditions and a crankcase heater.

    Sturt.
