48hr week
see labour meps are trying to stop the uk opt out of the 48hr max week that would be very intresting what would companies do as most cant get more staff due to shortages and they would be forced to put money up to keep engineers happy as i know myself i nedd the overtime to give me a decent wage.

[rant]
Makes me chuckle that the European members, non UK, want it to stop 'unfair competition'.
That was why the UK enforced restricted driving hours on the transport industry.
So what happens? EU truck drivers trash across various countries from their home, grab a few hours sleep on the ferry and then drive non-stop in the UK.
Unfair competition, my arse ?!

Re: 48hr week
I do more than 48 hours each week, lets hope it doesn't come into force.
