You say "frick", we say "sabroe"

    Hi Guys!
I thought you all might like this list,
Which might help explain some of our cross pond confusion!
    Grizzly
Sorry Guys I can't split the table as it should read.
So draw an imaginary vertical line just before the R of RWF and you get the idea!
Sabroe to Frick Model numbers as follows:-

    SABROE FRICK
    EU designation US designation
    RWF ІІ Model No.
    SAB 193 S RWF 100
    SAB 193 L RWF 134
    SAB 233 S RWF 177
    SAB 233 L RWF 222
    SAB 233 E RWF 270
    SAB 283 S RWF 316
    SAB 283 L RWF 399
    SAB 283 E RWF 480
    SAB 283 X RWF 546

Should the end users in the USA have any worries about obtaining parts for Sabroe, Sthal in the future? Are these compressor,s going to sill be manufactured?

    NH3.
As far as I am aware neither "make" is under threat.
Sabroe seem sound and both are owned by Johnson Controls.
So I assume they are sound?
Unless someone who works for either can advise us otherwise?

Re: You say "frick", we say "sabroe"

Hi everyone let me try to explaine.

First there was STAL from Sweden and Sabroe from Denmark.

    Then Stal became Sabroe.

    Then Sabroe became YORK.

    Then York became Johnson Controls.
With Johnson Controls there was also Frick and now the manufacture Fricks and Sabroes together to cut costs.

The only exeption is the controller.
Sabroe uses UNISAB and Frick uses Millenium / Kwantum controllers.

All the brand names from Johnson Controls refrigeration are now.

Sabroe, Stal, Frick, Gram and York.

    Greetings,

    Bart.

if any one cares the basic Frick compressor is based on the Dunham-Bush compressors of the 1950's they are in turn patented by Svenska Rotor Maskiner of either Sweden or Switzerland

thanks Josef, I knew it was one or the other. The compressor design is very reliable no matter who puts the package together.
