Iarp Chiller
IARP ECX600 Upright chiller which according to the customer has been loosing gas every couple of months. He has been spending a fortune on people coming over to 'top it up' for the last three years!!!
I pressure tested and found the Evaporator has four very small pin hole leaks. The evaporator is badly corroded and needs replacing. Has anyone replaced one? Looks pretty awkward!
Not sure who supplies IARP spares either so any help on that would be appreciated.
Unit possibly 10 years+ old
Many Thanks
Lucas.

hi lucas,
you can also get information at http://www.iarp.it/Cater-prod_ECX_600.html#
whec such problems start, it is best to install a new evaporator and if the original is of bad qulity, you can have a new one made by any coil manufacturer and it should be cheeper.

Is this a tube in tube or a plate evaporator or are we perhaps talking abouth the condensor?

Thanks
Thanks for all info.
Three of the leaks are repairable but the forth isn't due to its position.
The Evap is badly corroded so even if repair was possible who knows how long it would be before more leaks appeared.
Thanks all.
