    HELP with charging

    Hi guys

Can you please talk me through the simple steps of charging a fridge. I need to know about what pressures to check and what temps to check. Also can anyone tell me where to get a comparator from.

eg. Just changed a compressor on a bench chiller. The chiller is on R134a but there is no tag telling you the weight of refrigerant. I dont want to keep charging the chiller until it starts to sweat. I want to learn the proper way.

    Thanks in advance.

Because your system is grossly overcharged? As you slowly remove the refrigerant, the suction line temp will drop. It will continue to drop until the excess is removed and then it will begin to rise (assuming you haven't destroyed the compressor).
