    Rack start-up



    HI evereyone ,
    I am going tommorow to help do a rack start up .Now this will be my first time ,don't have any info , type of rack nothing. What are things a typical start up includes? Just want to get some idea of what i will be getting into . Any replies are thanked in advance.

    Quick list.

    Check with install foreman for any outstanding issues or things to do.
    Verify control system and program or if it needs to be programmed, or if it is even your responsibility.
    Verify supply voltages and wiring connections.
    Verify relays and circuit breaker/fuses .
    Verify prints to what you actually see in front of you.
    Verify that wiring is terminated to the right terminal boards, right cases, right controller.
    Verify fixture and walk in fans are operational.
    Verify oil and oil levels.
    Verify suction, oil and liquid filters.
    Verify isolation and ball valves.
    Verify condenser operations.
    Start adding refrigerant.
    Verify compressor operation.
    Keep adding gas.
    Start setting LPC's.
    Keep adding gas.
    Start setting holdback valves, condenser settings.
    Keep adding gas.
    Start checking HPC's
    Start checking oil conrtrols.
    Start leak checking.
    Check oil levels again.
    Verify the controller is reading the right case temps.
    Start checking for floodback.
    Verify receiver level.
    Setting of EPR's.
    Start to run down ESR's if applicable to verify ops.
    Start checking anti sweat heaters.
    Start checking LLS operations.
    Start checking defrost heater circuits and that the right cases defrost together.
    If hot gas, verify differential valves and termination sensors if equipped.
    Verify receiver level.
    Start logging all the load amperages.
    Start verifying superheats, adjusting.
    Start leak checking again.
    Verify all door operations.
    Verify walk in boxes.
    Check oil level again.
    Check receiver levels again.
    Start filling out all warranty reimbursement paperwork.
    Check for an even temperature graph, adjust/clean valves as needed.
    All this without beating on the store's Construction mgr, Project mgr and every other mgr.
