    compressor speed



    If an open drive compressor running 1000 RPM the low-temp system working correctly was down to 700 RPM what will happen to the system? The load is the same

    Assuming the load remains the same as when the compressor was at the higher speed; the suction pressure will increase because the compressor is not pumping as much vapor as it was at the higher speed.
    If all else fails, ask for help.

    is it not so that the pressure is going down, and if working whit a cappilairy the condensor is not getting enough vapor and loose capacity ???

    are you trying to make a inverter yourself,or just trying to economize by trying to let the compressor go slower??

    I agree with ice man with the lower speed you have reduced the compressors capacity and amount of vapour pumped therefore an increase in in evaporator temp as less heat is absorbed with an increase in low side pressure.
