    ThermalTake Xpressar

Anyone tried this yet, or have opinions?

I'm not looking for super low temp stuff, just a quiet, reliable cooling solution for video processing machines.

    Regards
    Steve

R134a won't deal with the heat loads off todays GPU all that well nor a CPU.

I just took delivery of 4 of these compressers, thankfully i have some freinds in high places. A mate wants to play with them and see what he can make!

    There 12v and draw 50w

R 134a has just dandy capacity, with out temp the statement you made is meaningless to say the least, all so depends on compressor and condensor!

It's thermaltake, that says it all! Ie garbage!

If it is cooled with refrigerant then there is no such a danger. Also, if it is not insulated and not cooled by refrigerant it will then additionally heated PC housing and component's in it.

It is a rotery, discharge is the shell and suction gas goes directly to the compression chamber!

So it will quite adaquetly heat the PC shell! This is not an issue as case fans will deal with this heat aptly! it is only one spot we need cool!
