    Re: hunting

If you have a leak in the system then you must fix that first, then recharge the system fully.

The flash gas is due to the shortage of refrigerant I expect and will cause hunting.

Are you stating here that the system (compressor) cycles on/off on the Low Pressure Control or another control?

Or maybe the condenser fan(s) cycle on/off?

I'm just trying to narrow this down a bit.

    Re: hunting

    Hi Jumanji13
Hunting should only indicate the TEV as if it were the comp or fan that would be shot cycling. So check your superheat - and probs with the valve could be SOG, Blocked strainer at inlet, Lost charge of bulb or poor contact to pipe of sensing element, or stuffed TEV. Check for basics first like touch feel for blockages on LL etc.
Ps in your next post pls give us a bit more data to go on like system parameters - press/temp/maxmin and some history if you can find and we will help as we can. BTW I will be in Cairo on Saturday, cool.
