    Question Cooling Load for Floors

    Hi,

When calculating the heat gain through floors for cooling load estimates , the heat gain through floors is assumed to be negligible according to the ASHRAE handbook. Does anyone know why this is?

    Thanks,

    Re: Cooling Load for Floors

There is an assumption here that the roof from below floor is at the same temp. The AIRAH Handbook gives more accurate info.

Its considered negligible for floors in contact with the ground as well. I didnt mean internal floors.

    Thanks,
