water in recovery cylinder

hi,

does anybody have a suggestion how to utilize ***** (R-410a) from a recovery cylinder that got some water inside it?

how to check for water in a ***** cylinder?

actually, i have plate HX evaporator that leaked and water and refrigerant got mixed. i tried to recover the gas that was inside the system (my mistake) but stopped as soon as i realized it was a bad idea and now i have a contaminated cylinder (not sure).

Hi there vaccum your cylinder down to 200 micron this should clear out the water but first empty it out completly dont try to vaccum a liter of water!!!

Multi-vacuum system and break each cycle with oxygen free and moisture free nitrogen, could take a long time, as in 6 > 10 cycles. Time is of the essence. A long time repair.
The test is monitoring vacuum changes with system isolated and no vac pump operating. There is a glide slope graph to interprute leaks versus moisture over extended periods. I cannot find it so cannot forward. Re-cycle old refrigerant and start with new refrigerant.
Hopefully you have sorted the problem initially of water in system, otherwise you will go round in circles.

Why dont you just clean the cylinder and reuse that 410A recycled?

There is a method to clean any RAC circuit from water, and a cylinder is kind of a small circuit, just one syphon to clean, very simple.

reclaim the vapour into new reclaim bottle through large dryer gas gone , tip up bottle pour out water heat up bottle 100c vacpump, change oil in vac pump , job done,
