    Pressure gauges

I was wondering if anyone knew of a good source for Ammonia pressure gauges. I have tried quite a few and have not really been happy with the results. I know were I used to work we had our logo on our gauges but I can't remember who made them.

    keep it cool
When i was doing ammonia systems we found that the 3.5 in guages from Vilter were one of the best deals around. Quality was good, price was outstanding.
I am sure you can buy them from the mfg but probably have to buy quantity.

    best to you

    Re: Pressure gauges

The type I prefer have the stainless steel housing, hermetically sealed with a glycerin fill. They are not the cheapest, but they hold up well and are easy to read.

If you shopping for price, then you end up looking for the cheapest gauge and replacing it often.
If all else fails, ask for help.

Slightly off topic but whilst I was working for on of the larger Cold Store Groups in U.K.
A very large Ice plant in Scotland was evacuated due to a serious Ammonia Leak.
The newly hired site Engineer had decided to replace the plant HP and LP gauges for new ones!
Sadly know one had told him to order gauges with STEEL Bordon Tubes.
Guess what within a few weeks the ammonia had eaten through the non ferrous ones.
I am not sure whether he kept his job?

    Re: Pressure gauges

Tempress has a wide range of gauges, they can also make them to your specs and print whatever logo you want on them.

we order our stainless NH3 gauges from them
