LLVS & SORIT at fixture -off cycle-

What are the advantages and disadvantages by using a liquid line solenoid valve and a SORIT in a low temp fixture?
I was told that it will defrost faster(off-cycle) when both devices are turned off ???

Does your SORIT have the HGB and Shut Off solenoid valves fitted?

Reading through the literature it seems that the valves should be shut during defrost.
