    F gas compliance again

    Evening,

Can anyone tell me what is the minimum information required to be kept about equipment with F gases in. For our service customers should both party's keep a record, would model/ serial numbers and refrigerant amounts be enough. Service reports will show that leak checks have been carried out.

If anyone has an example document I would love to peruse it.

You need a logbook at your client where every handling with the refrigerant must be registered, a logbook for the refrigerant in your van, and a logbook in your shop.

That's at least the situation in Belgium but I suppose it will be the same in the UK.

Service records which states that a leak check was performed is not sufficient I think.
You must also state that you haven't found any leaks or that you repaired those you found.
If you found a leak, then you have to go back to re-check again.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

    .

    All the gen you need:

    BERR’s F Gas website:
    http://www.berr.gov.uk/sectors/susta...page28889.html

    BERR’s ODS website:
    http://www.berr.gov.uk/sectors/susta...page29091.html

DEFRA’s website deals with both F gas and ODS:
    http://www.defra.gov.uk/environment/...fgas/index.htm

DEFRA’s site contains information on compliance, but it’s not very well laid out – this means that you have to seek out the information for yourself….

    But it’s all there…..

However, it does contain a sample log sheet, but I would advise against cribbing the sample here. You need to do your own that is tailored to your client.
