Liquid Nitrogen to Refrigeration!!
Hello, I have a 9' liquid nitrogen cooling tunnel. I want to disregard that. I want to intall conventional refrigeration to cool cookie doe. Going in at 49 F. Want to get it to 33 F. The most time we can give the conveyer is 5 minutes thru the tunnel (9'). My thought is to have a "walk in like" tunnel built on top of the existing conveyer and add refrigeration...what do you think. can it be done?

Re: Liquid Nitrogen to Refrigeration!!
I'm curious as to why you want to change something that works. Is this change being contemplated due to the cost of nitrogen, or something else?
5 minutes is not a lot of time to cool something. If all else fails, ask for help.

Re: Liquid Nitrogen to Refrigeration!!
I've done some small research on this.
I'm also curious why you want to change it.
Very important factor: how many cookies do you want to cool/hour?
Like USIceman said, it could be that your tunnel will be too small to do this. It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Re: Liquid Nitrogen to Refrigeration!!
You install a liquid nitrogen reservoir outside the building.
You then connect a tube of 2 " to it inside your house at the ceiling.
At the end you install some nitrogen nozzles.
You open the valve on the reservoir and that's it.
Oh, don't forget to wear protective clothing and a oxygen mask. It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
