Fuller rotary boosters
In the USA are many rotary boosters stil in service on ammonia duty ?
If replacing blades can you only use kevlar ?
If so are they proven to be ok compared to asbestos.
Any info appreciated.

Re: Fuller rotary boosters
Still quite a few around, but there are less and less all the time. A lot of operations that use the larger sizes are still rebuilding them.
I am not a expert, but I did here talk around the shop a couple of years ago that the Kevlar was hard to get and there was a replacement for them which was not as good. Seems the military was using a lot of Kevlar. I do not know if this is still true.
