Scroll comp
As a Scroll comp has no valves, how do you carry out a pump test
the unit im looking at is a IMI MCU 100+ Condenser

Dave,
To test if a scroll compressor is pumping properly, the compressors current draw must be compared to the manufacturers compressor performance curves using the operating pressures and voltage of the system.
Closing the suction valve to determine how low the compressor will pull suction pressure could damage a scroll.
