TX Valve Selection: PHT or TE

    Dear all,
I have a job with 200KW capacity(R22,ET -20C,CT:40C) . I tried the selection with Danfoss program. It looks like TE55-50 is the best selection. But it doesn't have a flange set for welding to the steel pipe. I am questioning about the installation and the later mantenace of the vavle. It is packaged equipment and is far away. The PHT85-3 is ok and has flange set. But the PHT is much more expensive than TE.

Does anybody have comments on the situation?

thanks in advance for your help.
    J

    Hi Jerrycool
Have you considered Sporlan or Alco, they are probably cheaper then the TE.

    Hi Jerrrycool
i am not sure if they have a selection software, best to contact them. Sporlan is now Parker and I think they also own Alco / Emerson.
I know Sporlan have valves with flanges that you could connect steel lines to.
Alco used to have similar valves but not sure if they still sell them.
Some of the guys on this forum may be able to help.

It's no problem silversolding the brass body to the steel pipe.

Not welding but brazing or soldering with 30 to 40 % silver
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

I found that the splane have the valve with FPT connecion. Maybe it is better to use this.
