    retro fitting 22 syt for ***** change 134a



    just wondering whats involved in or can it be done any thing from 15 ton to 80 ton syst

    I dont understand the part about 15 to 80 ton system please clarify.
    The short answer is it can be done,but with 407c but should only be done by a professional,134a is not generably suitable for airconditioning and used in cars for saftey reasons due to the extream temperature.

    I'll follow up chemi-cool and castrigg statements. R-22 is a high pressure gas and R134a is a low pressure gas.

    Some compressors will pump both but the capacity and operating range changes. It depends on the compressors design criteria.
