Pearl's a singer
Going back fifteen years or more to when i was an arrogant know it all young 'engineer' i would sometimes find myself working on sites with a guy in his sixties, he'd be fitting a new milking parlour and i'd be fitting a new milk tank.
He had the air of someone who had seen it all before, the vagueries of customers, young know it alls, etc.
He had been doing the job long enough not to have to think about it, you could always get a hand lifting a unit into place or borrow some tools or get a bracket welded up for the pipework or such.
You would always know when he was on site as a few lines of "Pearl's a singer" would come floating out from the milking parlour.
He'd be in his seventies now. I've not seen him around for a few years.
It make you wonder where we would be and possibly who we would be without the peolpe who have set us an example early on in our lives.

Re: Pearl's a singer
Only you could link the 2 M.S.
I think it is human nature to have associations with different pieces of music.
I personally still crack up whenever I hear "The Green Green Grass of Home"
Or "Crying".
Because I always think of that classic
episode of "Only Fools and Horses".
With the Cabaret Singer with the lisp!
Cheers for the nice thoughts.
By the way have you seen the Alien one singing "I will survive!"
try it!

"Doc, I can't stop singing 'The green green grass of home' "
"That sounds like Tom Jones syndrome!"
"Is it common?"
"Its not unusual"
